Access Copyright’s 2025-2028 strategic plan charts an
energizing and exciting future for the organization.
With the support of Communications MDR, a strategic consulting
firm with extensive experience working with the cultural
industries, our plan for 2025-2028 is the product of significant
input and consideration from many stakeholders, including:
• Interviews with all Access Copyright staff, • Interviews with all Access Copyright Board members, • Roundtable discussions with representatives from Access
Copyright’s membership, • Survey responses from 558 affiliates and 72 customers, • Landscape review of trends in collective licensing, • A one-day planning retreat with the Board and select Access
Copyright staff.
The final plan, adopted unanimously by the Board in December 2024, focuses
Access Copyright’s efforts around four primary goals:
• Increase sales of licences to Canadian organizations, • Raise awareness about copyright, • Build a performance-based culture, • Increase operational efficiency.
We look forward to reporting back to the Access Copyright
community on our progress as the plan is operationalized.
